1946 – The Beginning

BH McKeague Opticians started life as Scott P. Linton Ophthalmic Opticians in 1946, when Mr Scott Linton opened the practice with a simple but important mission:

To provide trusted, personal eye care to the local community.

His commitment to outstanding service and genuine patient care quickly established the practice as a trusted name, laying the foundations for a business that would serve generations of families.

1983 – A New Chapter

In 1983, Mr Brendan Hugh McKeague took over the practice, continuing the values established by its founder while leading the business into a new era.

Through his leadership, passion and dedication, the practice continued to grow, investing in new technology, expanding its services and building lasting relationships with patients throughout the community.

2022 – Looking to the Future

In 2022, Claire and Tom took over the practice, bringing fresh ideas and renewed energy while remaining committed to the heritage and values that have defined BH McKeague Opticians for nearly 80 years.

Today, they continue to combine traditional customer care with modern eye care technology, ensuring every patient receives the highest standard of professional, personalised service.
